Textured Pot Holder - Free crochet pattern revisted

The original crochet pattern for this pot holder used 3ply cotton but I have experimented with DK cotton yarn and explain how to adjust the size.
This pot holder is an old pattern I designed back in 2020 with some “Crochet & Craft" cotton yarn by Crelando from Lidl, which is equivalent to 3 count crochet thread or 4ply yarn.
Someone left a comment on the YouTube video tutorial, asking what size these were and if this could be made any other size. The size was actually included in the free PDF pattern but appreciate that people sometimes don't check that.
The originals were about 17cm across.
I had to crochet a sample jut to double check how you'd adjust the starting chain to get a different size... and I only had DK cotton to hand so quickly whipped up a new pot-holder. I forgot how much I enjoy crocheting this stitch!.
Anyway, if you want to make this bigger or smaller, just add or subtract 4 from your starting chain. That will increase or decrease by one stitch pattern repeat.
🧶 For the DK version, I have used a 3mm hook and chained 4 less. The resulting pot holder is 18cm wide, so a tad larger. I used less than 40g yarn.
